Episcopal Church stands as one of the most profound churches in the modern world. It is in the Christianity umbrella and everything that is taught in this church revolves in that sphere. The church was founded back in the second century. It is said that there is no one particular founder of the church. This is because it took a group of traders in England to establish the church and make it functional.

It should be noted that Episcopal Church is a derivative of the Church of England. This is one of the principal churches that brought about Christianity in England. Like earlier stated Episcopal church came after traders in the country found the necessity to have a place of worship on their way to other countries.

It took time for the Church to take form and be organized as others do. Back in 1856, James Theodore founded the first African Americans Episcopal Church in the In America. This was an indication that the prominence of the church was slowly going viral. After a while, the church began to establish branches on all continents across the globe. A lot of bishops and church leaders were ordained. On the other hand, the number of followers kept escalating.

However, the church has been undergoing a lot of controversy lately. This is with regard to the claims that the church advocates for homosexuality and women ordination. As a result, the number of members who used to attend this particular church keeps declining. In fact, there are worries that the church might eventually sink. Not so long ago, the a bishop from the church openly came out and announce that he was gay.
